-Prologue Jinx-
The world has changed over the past years.
The promise Dr Gero made was nothing more than a lie.
The androids he created where hard working machines at first.
One day they changed, they started to kill people, leaving only the strongest.
It turned out that Dr Gero was just another fool, craving for world domination.
Soon the andriods found their true leaders, Andriod 17, and 18.
What happened to Dr Gero was another sad story about blind trust in a man's
creation.
Only 10% of the total world population is left now, and 0.1% is still "at
large".
The will to fight is going down the drain every time one of us doesn't come
home
I will never give in, never surrender!
I rather die than become one of their slaves!
-Jinx, freedom fighter-
It was a rainy day, a lone Capsule Corp. fighter flew through the silent remains
of what once was a flourishing city. Inside the fighter the sound of the rain
hitting the windshield was only surpassed by the humming of the engines slowly
propelling the craft. The sound of the engines was in turn overshadowed by
radio static. Sometimes there was a voice, but often it was nothing more than
electronic gibberish. The pilot was holding the controls firmly, his face
locked in a permanent frown. His brown hair gently waved in the flow of constant
air that runs trough the cockpit, his blue eyes look down upon the flight
path. Then he looked up
"Jinx! JINX! Is everything alright out there!?" The voice heard belonged to Marea, one of the last commanding officers from the mortal resistance.
"No", he said whilst his tired eyes wandered over the wastelands.
"We´ve lost Spider"
The signal went down for a moment, static once again filled the air. He looked
over at the starboard engine, it was riddled with bullet holes, his eyes focussed
on small strings of smoke pouring out of them. The engine diagnostics graph
indicated it was working at 10 percent efficiency. "Marea, I don't think
Ill be able to make it this time, my bird is pretty beat up"
On the other side a young woman whacked a cup of coffee from her desk, all the people working in the room turned their attention to the cherry red-haired woman. "Damn-it! We cannot loose any more people like this!" On a radar screen a green dot flickered on and off, Identification CC81, on the edge of the screen another dot appeared, identification unknown. Nobody seemed to notice. "Now you listen to me! You've been trough worse under my wing, don't you quit on me now!" Marea shouted over the comm whilst looking aside to find everybody looking at her. They immediately turned back to their screens.
The sound of the returning message broke the tension. "There is no way,
I'd like to, but this time the old bird swallowed to much. My goal now is
to
" The radio message was cut off, radio static once again fills
the room. "Jammed, there is no other explanation" Marea said whilst
she turned to the radar screen and tapped on the unknown dot
"I
hope Jinx knows he has got something on his tail"
